No. Markdo is built on Shopify Functions, which run on Shopify's edge infrastructure. The discount calculation completes in sub-50ms — your customers won't notice any difference in checkout speed.

Absolutely. Markdo gives you full control over discount priority and stacking. Set which discounts can combine, define exclusion rules (e.g., exclude sale items), and control the order in which discounts are applied.

Yes. Markdo includes a Checkout UI Extension for Shopify Plus stores, allowing customers to see and select discount codes directly in the checkout. It also works with standard Shopify plans through automatic discounts.

Yes. Markdo doesn't rewrite product prices — discounts are calculated at checkout through a Shopify Function. Pausing or deleting a rule stops the discount immediately, and uninstalling the app leaves no leftover prices in your catalog.

The Free plan allows up to 3 rules. The limit only blocks creating a 4th rule — existing rules keep running, and there are no usage-based limits that pause a running campaign. If a subscription is cancelled or expires, your account moves to the Free plan: rules beyond the first 3 are paused automatically, a complete snapshot is saved, and everything is restored with its original settings when you subscribe again.

Yes. Markdo's free widgets include a cart goal progress bar, stock urgency notifications, a promotion bar, and a discount banner — so shoppers see deals across product pages and the cart, not only at checkout.

Markdo is billed through Shopify's app billing system. When you uninstall the app, Shopify automatically cancels the subscription, so no further charges are created. Note that per Shopify's billing terms, a credit isn't applied for the remainder of the current billing period. If you reinstall later, you can start again on the Free plan.
